STAY TUNED!!!
GoodCrush Does San Francisco
For those who don’t know - last month we were given a pretty sweet award by the Kairos Society, who recognized GoodCrush with their Entrepreneurship in Marketing award at their annual Kairos Society Summit in NYC.
The event was a blast, as we got to present GoodCrush on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, as well as wine & dine (well, minus the wine) on board a cruise ship...

GoodCrush T-Shirts - User Photos - Part Two
In today’s episode of Our-Tshirts-Are-Really-Awesome, we have Jennie from Tulane!
As you can see, GoodCrush tees are best enjoyed with shrimp. Or mini-lobsters. Or whatever the heck those are.
If any more of you out in collegeland have one of our shirts, send us a photo. Right now.
We hang out with Butterflies
It’s been a great time lately here at GoodCrush as we gear up towards a big summer. We’ve been looking for new office space, preparing for the “Leaders of Tomorrow” summit this weekend in California, and, yes - playing with butterflies!
This little guy was trapped in our office for an entire day, so we decided to set him free on our way to lunch.
GoodCrush song
This crazy tune was recently performed at the Princeton Triangle Club’s spring show, which was a spoof of West Side Story. We’re working on getting hold of a video, but for now, here’s a script:
—-
Good Crush, Bad Crush, Red Crush, Blue Crush
Sketch by Willie Myers, lyrics by Raffi Grinberg, and music by Ilina Mitra
Lights up on two friends, PAUL and CHRIS, and, on the...

Boston College trip
Last week I took a trip to Boston and decided to swing by Boston College to meet with our campus reps Nick and Ron.
Everyone was in bright spirits as BC just won the Frozen Four (national NCAA hockey championships).
We grabbed some lunch and chatted about how GoodCrush was going on campus and came up with a few innovative ways to get more people involved based on prior feedback.
Along the...

NYU EXPO After Party
The Startup Job Fair wasn’t the only thing we did on Friday. We also sponsored the after-party for EXPO— NYU’s premier fashion show!
The event was held at the swanky Hotel Rivington, and helped raise over $500 for Room to Read— a charity that partners with local communities in the developing world to establish libraries, create local language children’s...
NYC Startup Job Fair
On Friday we attended the NYC Startup Job Fair, which was held at AOL Headquarters (only three blocks south of our office). AOL’s offices are pretty bad ass, with weird triangular glass rooms all over the place.
The event was great fun and the applicants all seemed super qualified. Most of them knew even more about GoodCrush than I did.. (side note - we’re currently in the hunt for...
GoodCrush T-Shirts - User Photos!
The first of our user-submitted photos are starting to trickle in.. Check this one out from RONAK at UPenn!
Ronak is awesome. In his free time, he enjoys para-sailing, bodybuilding, and baking.
Well, actually, I just made that up.. But - if you’re sending us photos too, feel free to include some additional information about yourself that we can post up here.
Keep the pictures coming...
Salad Wednesday?
A recent tradition that has been going on here at the office is Pizza Wednesday. During Pizza Wednesday, members from all 14 of the startups who work here get together and discuss a wide range of topics related to our companies. Topics have included partnerships, the tools we use, how we stay organized, and many more. The discussions are a lot of fun and extremely informative - we all have...

Hackers and Founders
The NYC entrepreneurial community is vibrant and fun. Here is a quick pic I snapped of a dinner get-together after a popular monthly event called Hackers and Founders (@hackersfounders) from the @ScoopST team. Up front are Geoff (@topguest - @just GLew) and Carter (@carterac - @art_sy). Good people + good ideas + good food = good combination.
More T-Shirts
We went through our first batch of shirts rather quickly, so we decided to order some more - this time in a much sexier blue than the original. We are so fashionable.
Want one? Shoot us an email and we’ll send you one, but only if you promise to send us back a picture of you wearing it (preferably while doing something ridiculous).
GoodCrush presents: RandomDorm.com!
Check us out in the New York Times!
RandormDorm is the first college-only random video chat service. We originally planned for this to be feature directly on GoodCrush.com, but felt that making it its own unique site would help us reach out to more students at more schools.
You may have come across other chat sites on the web before, but what makes Random Dorm so much better is that you can...
Facebook!
Hey friends
Just wanted to reminder you to become a fan of GoodCrush on Facebook! Becoming a fan is the best way to stay informed of all of our new features and special offers on the way. It also makes us feel special and popular!

Dogpatch Labs, part 2
Last week, Jon at Dogpatch needed some photographs taken around the office for an internal presentation of theirs. Being that i’m the only one with a camera, I volunteered to snap these for them.
As we’ve mentioned before, some of the coolest and most innovative new start ups are housed here at Dogpatch, so impress your friends by getting to know them here first before the rest of...
Apparently some of our Princeton users made a full-length movie about GoodCrush - in particular, the most crush on person in the country: the CrushMaster, Alex Hwang. Check it out and enjoy!
Meet Matt
Part 2 of an ongoing series - meet the crew behind GoodCrush! Today we have Matt Weiler, who runs our online marketing and mobile campaign
Who are you?
Matt Weiler aka GoodCrush Jack of All Trades.
What’s your favorite part of coming to work?
The working environment at Dogpatch Labs is incredibly unique. Having the opportunity to work closely with young bright entrepreneurs...
Old School GoodCrush
As you may or may not know, GoodCrush first began as a pet project of Josh while as a student at Princeton in 2007. Although the old GoodCrush didn’t have all of the fancy bells and whistles that it does today, there was a charm and simplicity to it that definitely lent to its huge success at Princeton. For example, here’s a look at the old CrushFinder:
Pretty sweet and to the...
Interview with Stephen Pollard – the...
GoodCrush has been fortunate to nab an exclusive interview with Stephen Pollard, who has taken the time out of his busy lady-killing schedule to answer a few questions for us.
Who are you?
My name is Stephen Pollard but many people call me spollard, peter, or spollardarity.
Why are you such a stud?
There are too many reasons to list here but I’d say the biggest reason is my muscles....
GreetBeatz presents.. "GoodCrush", by Thunda
A user at Stanford submitted this to us a few weeks back. I’m not sure what to say about this.. so I’ll just go ahead and post the video without commenting on it. I’ll leave it up to you guys to chime in on our Comments section below.

Campus Rep Spotlight: Joe Benson
Here’s a new feature we’ll be running from time to time: get to know our campus representatives at schools across the country! Today we have Joe Benson from Murray State. That’s in Kentucky, btw.
Who are you?
I am Joe Benson
How did you get involved with GoodCrush?
Some say that it was my destiny; that I am fulfilling the ancient prophecy which reads...
Blizzicane
So we’ve all decided to play hooky today and not come in to the office.
This, of course, is due to the blizzard-hurricane, or “blizzicane,” currently rocking New York.
The snow hates us. If you remember back when we launched two weeks ago, another blizzard prevented us from mailing supplies and spreading the word at east-coast schools like George Washington and George Mason.
The snow must...
Our Web Host is Cooler than Your Web Host
Check out these awesome duds that our web host, Heroku, just sent us! We received a care package from them today full of t-shirts, stickers, gift cards, and all sorts of cool schwag.
Their package was a bit of a thank you for the Heroku network we just installed on GoodCrush, to help them download a dose of love off their servers (sorry, couldn’t resist).
Being a small office,...
Creating GoodCrush
Below are excerpts from my first blog post in Huffington Post College on the day of the section’s launch - for the full text, click the link
One day during sophomore year, I was walking in front of the campus center when an idea hit me — there needs to be an easy way to offer my peers (read: myself) a risk-free way of expressing a crush wherein their (my) identity is only revealed if...

Missed Connections @ Boston College
With over 4400 missed connections posted since our hectic launch 10 days ago, we’ve had the chance to take a step back this week to go over our numbers and look for trends.
So, what have we found?
Boston College is extra frisky.
Despite being a small school with just over 100 missed connections posted, BC’s have definitely been the most interesting of the lot. Check these out for...
(Belated) Happy Valentine's Day and an Update from...
This past Monday (February 8th) we officially launched. We setup partnerships with around 20 schools’ student governments around the country and had campus representatives at several others. Currently, we have over 10,000 registered users, almost 25,000 crushes sent, over 4,000 missed connections posted. We’ve been featured in half a dozen campus newspapers with more articles on the way and we...

Launch Party
Last night’s GoodCrush launch party was epic.
Gallery Bar was packed to capacity with NYU and Columbia students, friends and family, fellow Dogpatch-ers, and beautiful people all around. There were also a couple of 16 year olds, but we’re not really sure how they got in..
Anyway, much thanks again to our officemates at Scoop St. for helping us raffle off over $350 in salon and...

Goodcrush at NYU
Part of our campaign to get the word out about GoodCrush consists of speaking in front of large groups and classes at our launch schools. With NYU right in our back yard, they’ve naturally the easiest ones for us to engage with. So, on Monday we spoke in front of the NYU chapter of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity along with our campus rep from NYU, Trevor Owens.
This was the...

Its been a long road to get to this point, so we definitely want to take a second to thank all of the student governments and campus reps involved with making this possible. GoodCrush has been our baby over the past few weeks and months, so its been awesome and rewarding to see it finally take flight.
We’ve gotten great feedback so far from schools...

13 Things You Should Know About GoodCrush
GoodCrush was first created two years ago at Princeton University as part of a student government project with fantastic results— 30% of the student body signed up within the first 24 hours!
It’s private and secure –your identity is never revealed when posting a missed connection, and your crushes are kept 100% hidden from anyone unless there is a match (in which case only you and your ...
Update from UChicago: user-created posters
So this is cool: someone at UChicago made their own GoodCrush posters and put them around campus! This is awesome, but we don’t know who it is as it was done anonymously (fitting, no?) - so if you made these posters, let us know who you are so we can crush you back!!!!
If you want GoodCrush flyers for you school - feel free to reach out for our copies, or take a lesson from our anonymous...
Shipping Day (+ t-shirts)
On Tuesday, we embarked on the tedious task of packing and shipping all 25 of our promotional packages to campuses across the country in preparation of our big launch next week. These included four varieties of posters (one 18x24, plus three versions of 11x17), postcards, wristbands, cups, t-shirts, and cupid costumes (yes, seriously).
Easy enough, you say? Not with our t-shirts massively...
Dogpatch Labs
Part of what makes dragging ourselves to work every day fun is our sweet office, Dogpatch Labs.
Dogpatch was created by Polaris Venture Partners, which also hosts Dogpatch branches in San Francisco and Cambridge. Their New York location (where we are) just launched at the start of January, so there is still new furniture and goodies arriving on the daily.
At Dogpatch, we work side by side...
Boxes and boxes
Today we packed and shipped dozens of boxes. We’re spreading love to campuses around the country, will you help us spread the love and connect student bodies?
