Who are you?
Josh Weinstein - born and raised in New York City, NY. I just graduated college and am excited to be connecting student bodies through GoodCrush.
What’s your favorite part of coming to work?
My favorite part of coming to work is working and chatting with the team - it’s a lot of fun and we’re able to put ideas into motion. It’s also great seeing the constant activity on the site - some of the missed connections are really funny and entertaining and it’ll be interesting to see who floats to the top of the Top 10. We work out of a space with a bunch of other start-ups - it’s an awesome vibe.
Favorite part of the site?
My favorite part of the site is yet to be built - we’re working on implementing lots of new features so I encourage you to keep checking back! My favorite part of the current site is the missed connection reply functionality. Users are able to engage in double-blind (anonymous) conversations and see if the other person is their connection - there’s no really good way of doing that currently except on GoodCrush.
Lets say your biggest crush ends up being a match. Do you make the first move?
Definitely - especially if there’s definitely been chemistry before. If not, - you can take two approaches: you can bring it up next time you see your crush or you can invite them out for coffee or something low-key. In either case, your match offers an instant icebreaker.
What do you do outside of the office?
Outside of the office I enjoy hockey, soccer, chess and video games. I also go out with my friends in the city - either for dinner or random adventures.
